It’s a relatively consistent report card for the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority.
Every five years, the provincial government issues a Watershed report card.
Overall, surface water quality was graded excellent or good throughout the watershed, outside of the Carp and Ottawa River Tributaries bordering Quebec. That once again was rated poor.
Wetland coverage was graded as good or excellent throughout the region, as was the groundwater quality.
The MVCA says their key issues remain non-point source pollution, which occurs when rain or snowmelt runs off fields.
