The Perth and District Community Foundation presented its Vital Signs report to Lanark County’s Economic Development Committee last week.
The report intended for stakeholders is a check-in with the communities about where things stand, both the good and the bad.
It used the 2021 census data, which is showing a continued growth in population for the region, explains PDCF executive director Victoria Gibb-Carsley.
An area of need in the region to the surprise of no one is affordable housing.
Without that, Gibb-Carsley says, the dominoes start to fall.
The report also touched on mental health supports, basic income and living wages, access to arts and culture, and much more. Read the full report here.
