The Emergency Department in Carleton Place is once again accespting patients after shuting down overnight,.

The closure is being blamed on a shortage of nursing staff, a problem that has plagued area hospitals for well over a year.

Mary Wilson Trider, President and CEO, wants to make sure they have all the right staff in place to provide the best care possible. She say the temporary closure is all about putting safety first.
