Smiths Falls Police arrested a youth after the suspect allegedly assaulted his mother.
Police say during the mid-day of May 20th, they attended a Pearl Street home and placed the 17-year-old under arrest.
In the process, the suspect resisted and assaulted an officer.
An investigation revealed the suspect had also uttered a threat to kill his mother, and caused damage inside the home.
They face five charges including assault and assault peace officer.
