Local dignitaries were on hand when the ground was officially broken this week as a sod turning ceremony took place at the location of the new Brockville Public School.
The project, located near the Brock Trail and St. Lawrence Park, began last October and is expected to welcome students in September of 2024.
The school will include 17 regular classrooms, four Kindergarten rooms alongside child care and EarlyON spaces.
The $29.8 million school will have room for around 440 students.
