Local Immigration Partnership weighs in on Canada’s population exceeding 40 million

Last week we told you that Canada’s population has topped 40 million people for the first time.

Jodi Buckholtz Manager of the Local Immigration Partnership in Lanark and Renfrew says we can thank newly arrived Canadians for providing a boost.

Many have settled in our listening area in Eastern Ontario.

Bucholtz says partnerships such as hers are pivotal in making the integration of newcomers a success.

She adds all of this work is done to create sense of belonging for the new Canadians.
