Fundraiser underway for wheelchair accessible van for area family

McDonald’s Corners residents raised $10,200 to support the Van Project, helping Jewel and Dave Purdon purchase a wheelchair accessible van.

Dave, who has myotonic dystrophy and spinal arthritis, has needed a tilt wheelchair since his 63rd birthday.

The community’s overwhelming support touched Jewel, and more fundraisers will be held to reach the $55,000 goal for a used accessible van.
