It’s another long-weekend and that means the OPP will be out in full force on our roads, trails, and waterways, to make sure its a safe one for all.
OPP Media Relations Officer Constable Kevin Martin says that the most important thing every drvier should do, is expect delays,
He also says that staying safe in the water is also something that everyone should keep in mind, especially if they’re out on a watercraft.
Drivers in a hurry should think twice, says Constable Martin, as there have been an increase in drivers operating vehicles over 50km/h higher than the legal speed limit.
OPP will be out in full force throughout the weekend enforcing safe driving practices for everyone.
The responsibility for safety on the roads lies with each individual driver, and Constable Martin emphasized the importance of being prepared, cautious, and responsible while enjoying our well-deserved break.
