The Leeds Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit is highlighting the risk of falls in seniors.
Medical officer of health Dr. Lina Li says it’s a prevalent issue in our area, and a fall at a certain age could alter your quality of life.
Falls are one of the top 10 causes of death in those aged 75 and above in our listening area, and one of the top reasons for an ER visit.
To try and avoid one, Li says staying active is important. Practice exercises that boost your balance.
