The painting of the intersection crossings for cycle lanes on Beckwith Street is well underway.
The town said in a statement that tit continues to incorporate infrastructure into the roadway networks to promote a safe and inviting community where cycling, walking, and driving serve the transportation needs of residents and visitors.
The cycle lanes at intersections will now have green colored pavement markings to indicate “bicycle use only”. The bright green colour is meant to increase the visibility of cyclists while using the cycle lanes.
Symbols indicating that these lanes are reserved for bike use will be painted on the green coloured pavement to further identify these areas.
