The Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) continues its dedicated efforts to enhance and advocate for small town Ontario communities. Under the leadership of Chair Robin Jones, ROMA has identified three key areas of focus following the pandemic: attainable housing, digital connectivity, and improving access to health and social services in small towns.
Reports on attainable housing and digital connectivity have already been completed, with the final report addressing access to health and social services currently in progress. To ensure comprehensive insights, ROMA is actively seeking input from field experts in social services to understand the current state and gather recommendations for improvement.
Once the report is compiled, ROMA will take it to provincial leaders, leveraging their influence to drive meaningful change in these areas. By advocating for the needs and concerns of small town Ontario, ROMA aims to create a better future for these communities and foster positive development.
Stay tuned for updates as ROMA continues to champion the interests of small towns, working towards a more inclusive and prosperous Ontario.
