Starting today and continuing until Friday, intermittent closures will affect specific sections of the Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail (OVRT) as Arnott Brothers Construction, contracted by Lanark County, carries out resurfacing work by adding new stone dust to the trail.
Throughout the week, closures will be in effect periodically, aiming to improve the trail surface for the benefit of pedestrians, cyclists, four-wheelers, and snowmobilers who utilize the OVRT.
Originally a CP Rail line, the OVRT connects Carleton Place, Almonte, and Pakenham, extending from Sturgess Road to Arnprior and beyond. Stay tuned for updates on the trail’s progress and reopening.
