Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) Commissioner Anne Kelly says Paul Bernardo, who has spent close to the last three decades in Maximum Security prisons in and near Kingston, will stay in the medium-security prison he was transferred to earlier this year.
Kelly emphasizes that Bernardo underwent a lengthy integration process with other inmates at Millhaven and his new prison, La Macaza in Quebec.
Kelly acknowledges that there could have been better communication between CSC and the victims’ families. To address this issue, a new committee will be formed to review the communications process.
