A teenager from Carleton Place is in legal trouble following an incident at a local playground.
On Monday night, just before 8:30 p.m., Lanark County OPP responded to a complaint regarding a youth seen brandishing a knife in the presence of other young individuals at the park.
The police promptly arrested the 13-year-old suspect and no injuries were reported during the incident.
However, the teenager now faces a total of six charges, four of which are for assault with a weapon.
