Accreditation Canada’s review of Almonte General Hospital and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital showed both met 93% of their standards, resulting in Accreditation with Commendation for both sites.
Hospital accreditation is a voluntary exercise that reviews a healthcare organization’s care and services. The process includes intensive self-assessments, on-site visits, and interviews with several stakeholders including support staff, physicians, patients and their families.
AGH and Fairview Manor were assessed against 1635 standards and Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital was assessed against 1306 standards.
CEO Mary Wilson-Trider says they can be very proud of the results.
