A new documentary from local filmmaker and historian Allison Margot Smith is being screened Friday.
Smith’s worked alongside The Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee of the Township of Rideau Lakes to create the new documentary highlighting the works of local photographer and visual storyteller of the early 1900s Clifford Pennock.
A free public screening followed by a q and a period with Smith after the airing of two short historical docs takes place at the Old Town Hall in Delta from 2 to 4p.m. Friday.
The first documentary is the previously released Taverns and Their Keepers, which takes a look at Lombardy and Rideau Ferry taverns in the early and mid-1800s.
The second showing is the new release entitled Yours Truly, Clifford Pennock.
