The province is investing about $140,000 to upgrade and repair a trio of children’s and social services facilities in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes.
It’s through the government’s Partner Facility Renewal Program, which is a $21 million investment overall.
627 projects across Ontario are being funded for these agencies which help provide shelter for women and children, housing support for those with developmental disabilities, aid human trafficking survivors and more.
The local funding is broken down as follows:
· Brockville & Area Community Living – $45,800 to help with interior/exterior and accessibility improvements
· Community Living North Grenville – $33,500 to help with a new roof, a new A/C unit and repair of leaking vents
· Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville – $60,600 to help with flooring and safety concerns in their Smiths Falls location
