Two people are facing drug charges after a Carleton Place traffic stop.
Lanark County OPP pulled a vehicle over on Moore Street on Monday night, and upon investigation learned an occupant was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
They were arrested and a subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, psilocybin, pills and cash.
31-year-old Stephen Johnston of Gatineau has been charged with the following:
– Fail to comply with release order – other than to attend court – two counts
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Heroin
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine – two counts
– Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
24-year-old Caroline Lavoie of Carleton Place has been charged with the following:
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Heroin
– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine – two counts
– Possession of a schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
