Negotiations are still ongoing between Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario and school bus compainies, in an effort to reach a deal for the upcoming school year.
So far school bus companies have rejected a recent offer by STEO, which would provide for an additional $19 million dollars over a proposed 4 year term.
Bus companies have made a counteroffer valued at an additional $40 million dollars over five years.
STEO said in a statement that none of the actions are consistent with a partner trying to reach an agreement and resume services.
Other options are being discussed and both parties hope to reach a deal before the start of the new school year.
Lake 88 has repeatedly reached out for comment.
