A multi-ministerial delegation at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario on Intimate Partner Violence in the province left Mississippi Mills Mayor Christa Lowry anticipating further action from the province.
Lowry was sure to mention that Lanark County was the first county to recognize IPV as an epidemic. AMO’s board had made that same declaration.
The province has yet to declare it an epidemic.
