The Banners honouring veterans, past and present are now up on Beckwith St. in Smiths Falls.
The Legion’s Gary Garland tells us shortly after he arrived in town, he approached the legion about following Carleton Place and Perth in hoisting the tributes.
Twenty-nine banners will be up this year, but that number is expected to grow in the coming years. Gary is already looking ahead.
