Local services will be held across our listening area as Remembrance Day is marked Saturday to honour those who fought for our freedom and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The Perth Legion’s Len Packer says the ceremony in Perth begins with a parade that ends at the gates at the Great War Memorial Hospital on Drummond street.
The service at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Smiths Falls begins at 10:50, following a parade there too.
Gary Garland from the Smiths Falls Legion says the annual parade begins in his town at 10:30.
The Ceremony itself begins just before 11.
The annual service in Carleton Place takes place at the Cenotaph at 10:50. The Carleton Place ceremony will feature an RCAF fly past.
