Local athletes recognized by Mayor in Carleton Place after impressive medal haul

To say that Isabel Lowry, Abbie Haines, and Dyllan Redwood-Wheeler did well at a canoe and kayak event for Olympic hopefuls would be an understatement.

Canada placed 3rd overall in the medal standings with 18. The three from Carleton Place was responsible for almost a third of those, with 3 gold and 2 silver.
