A home-baked charity is holding their annual fundraising dance on Saturday.
The Guatemala Stove Project, provides safe stoves for homes in the country. Before the homes get them, they cook over a dangerous open flame, producing a toxic smoke in the home.
Spokesperson Phill Brackenburry says they’ve come a long way in 24 years.
Brackenburry says when they first started, the plan was to build a few stoves. Relationships followed and grew.
The dance and show takes place Saturday at the Perth Civitan at 7. Cost is $25 and it features the band Open Road, some refreshments, a paid bar, and a silent auction. All are welcome.
