A special meeting of Perth council’s committee of the whole Tuesday focused on a budget debate ahead of a final vote on Dec 12th.
Facing increasing costs and inflationary pressures, council dipped into reserves to keep next year’s tax proposed increase at 4%.
In order to offset increased staffing costs, they voted to use rec facility and pay equity reserves to cushion the $94K staffing hike.
There’s one more session scheduled before the final approval in December.
