Don’t cram it in there! Friendly request about winter recycling

Smiths Falls has a reminder about recycling bins that applies to everyone in our listening area.

They ask that you ensure recyclable materials are loose and not compacted into your recycling bins.

That’s because it can become wet and frozen prior to collection by the contractor.

If its compacted it becomes difficult to get out of the bin and will be left behind.
