Environment Canada says an area of heavy snow will push through our listening area beginning late afternoon and into this evening.
The majority of snowfall accumulations may fall within just a few hours due to high snowfall rates. That could see snow hit the ground at a rate of 2 to 4 cm per hour.
Heavy snow will taper to light flurries late in the evening.
As expected, travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather and visibility may be suddenly reduced at times.
Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
