We’re well into the new year, and we want to know how we’re doing nutrition-wise in our country.
Nutritionist, TV host and award-winning author Julie Daniluk offered a suggestion that’s fitting as February is Heart Month.
When it comes to foods she’s worried about, one stands out: deep fried snacks like potato chips and corn chips.
She says that it’s easy to make a change that will payoff quickly.
An she adds salty foods actually reduce stress, so we’re drawn and tempted by them. Same goes for other troubled foods, so Daniluk suggests looking for healthier alternatives.
For example, if you’re into sweets make fruit a bigger part of your diet.
