A hard fought vote pushed a motion through by the skin of its teeth at this week’s Rideau Lakes council meeting.
Brought back to the chambers for further discussion after a contentious debate earlier this month was what to do with the Chantry municipal offices.
Councillor Paula Banks doesn’t buy into the idea that Rideau Lakes should relocate their offices.
Banks put forth the lengthy motion which in part includes a review of the building deficiencies and piecing together a fifth study from the four conducted previously to see if retrofitting the office is viable.
It carried 5 to 4.
