Not taking any chances, SFPS steps up patrols at SFDCI after threat

There was an increased police presence at Smiths Falls District College Institute yesterday (feb 28).

According to a letter issued to parents and a follow up media release from the Smiths Falls Police Service, rumours circulated on SnapChat Tuesday night a “violent incident,” may occur at the school.

The SFPS immediately began an investigating and told SFDCI staff it was safe to open the school for the day but they would be onsite.
