One in custody after suspicious grass fires set

Sveral grass fires just east of Carleton Place were put out by Carleton Place and Beckwith Fire departments yesterday afternoon.

Multiple 9-1-1 calls came in about 1 pm about the fires off of Highway 7.

The fires are considered suspicious, and a suspect is in custody. We have no further details.
