Smiths Falls CAO Malcom Morris shared his thoughts on the Ontario budget in the first council meeting following its release.
He says there were about nine agenda items that really align with the future of the town they’re trying to shape, including offering more recreational activities.
Morris felt overall it was a decent budget, while making note that the province expects to be in deficit until at least 2027, so they’re wary of continued cost downloading onto municipalities.
