Smiths Falls Police Service is extending their gratitude to their Communicators Department during this National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.
In a post, they thank the workers “for all you do in keeping our Officers and Community safe.”
The service says their communicators not only answer 911 and non emergency calls for service 24/7.
They also help those in crisis remain calm until help arrives, conduct background checks, assist officers with their paperwork and briefs, download data and videos, assist with court cases, major cases and much more.
The forces calls them, “The backbone of our service.”
