The show will seemingly go on at the Smiths Falls Station Theatre after a large crowd of supporters attended Monday’s committee of the whole meeting.
The group had been asked to outline what they do and offer to the community before town council felt comfortable renewing a 10-year building lease.
Member Jamie Scholar says it’s a busy spot.
After the delegation, councilor Jay Brennan felt the horseshoe got their answer.
The theatre’s been used 109 times so far this year.
Council thanked them for their work and appear in support of renewing the lease.
Note: Councillors Dawn Quinn and Chris McGuire were absent from the meeting.
