Smiths Falls Police Chief Jodi Empey’s working on the 2025 budget.
Preliminary looks show a couple of important items that’ll be included.
Empey says their Intoxilyzer 8000 is down for repairs and finding spare parts is difficult as they’re being outright replaced. The anticipated cost for the 9000 comes in at around $12,000.
The 2024 budget is just shy of $5.5 million, which represented a 5% increase from 2023.
