The provincial government has backed the Mobile Crisis Response Team with some continued funding.
Lanark County OPP and Smiths Falls Police both call on trained crisis workers when responding to those in a mental health episode through the MCRT.
Just under $233,000 is being provided to help further fund the program, which both the OPP and SFPS have said previously to be of significant help to both their officers and the public.
