A Perth man has been arrested in connection with a suspicious death investigation that began last month at Last Duel Park.
Lanark County OPP say officers responded to the park on April 12th at about 3:15 p.m., where 34-year-old Christo Allison Richards of Ottawa was found with life-threatening injuries. Richards was taken to a trauma centre, where he later died.
Police have now charged 46-year-old Michael Lewis of Perth with conspiracy to commit murder. He remains in custody and was scheduled to appear in court in Perth on Tuesday.
Investigators have also issued arrest warrants for two Ottawa men wanted for second degree murder. Police are searching for 34-year-old Joseph Madore and 28-year-old Brayton Kennedy.
Investigators believe Madore may currently be in British Columbia, with ties to the Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Terrace areas. Police say Kennedy may be travelling with him or could still be in the Ottawa area.
Photos of Madore and Kennedy can be found here.
Police are warning the public not to approach either suspect if seen and to contact authorities immediately.
The investigation is being led by the Lanark County OPP, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, along with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Lanark County OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
