Because the deadline to file your 2021 taxes fell on a Saturday this year, you actually have another chance to get them in on time.
Today’s the deadline if you owe money to the government. The Canada Revenue Service gave us a bit of a break because of the weekend deadline.
Returns will be considered filed on time if they are received by day’s end or if they are postmarked May 2nd or before.
For individuals or families where one of the filers is self-employed, the deadline is stretched to June 15th if you do not owe money this year.
You are reminded too that if you received CERB that it is considered taxable income.
